
Assistant Director Of Safety & Security
Milwaukee Public Schools
MPS is seeking an experienced person to assist
in managing the Division of School Safety and
Security. This 10 month position includes
developing, coordinating and conducting
training programs; reviewing crisis plans for all
MPS sites, and managing the grant program.
Other duties include serving as second in
command of the Division; assisting the Director
in formulating policies and procedures, preparing
and monitoring an annual budget, directing/
overseeing safety and security operations and
resolving grievances.
The position requires:
- B.S. degree in Criminal Justice, Police
Science, Sociology or related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of supervisory or
administrative experience in law enforcement,
security or related area, preferably in an urban
education setting or an organization dealing
with youth.
Equivalent combinations of education and
Experience may also be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and availability of a
properly insured personal automobile for use
on the job at time of appointment and through-
out employment.
- Residency in the City of Milwaukee within twelve
months of appointment and throughout
employment.
Salary: $55,933 to $81,230 with excellent benefits.
